Payroll tax calendar of the day:  Payments for monthly depositors are due on Tuesday, April 17th.  941’s and NYS-45’s will be due April 30th.

Ever wonder why Pluto is no longer a planet?  Now you can find out.  Until April 28th, the Whitworth Ferguson Planetarium at Buffalo State is giving a presentation on how Pluto was discovered as well as the criteria for a planet to be a planet.  Learn why Pluto doesn’t meet all the criteria and no longer qualifies.

The presentation goes until April 28th, but don’t wait to make a reservation.  The remaining shows are filling up fast.

The bad news is that at the end of 2012,  the planetarium will be closing while a new science building is being constructed.  The new building is scheduled to open in 2016.

The good news is that during this very long building break,  the staff will be continuing to offer lectures at alternate locations.  Be sure to keep checking the planetarium website for updates and schedules.
