Don’t miss the transit of Venus on Tuesday, June 5th. Venus will pass between us and the sun at an angle making the passage visible from many places on earth, including right here in western NY.
There will be a number of locations in the area to safely see the transit. Just like a solar eclipse, it’s not safe to watch without the proper filters, so be sure to utilize one of several viewing locations in our area. In the southtowns, viewing will start at 5:30 at the Penn Dixie site, and admission is free.
