Payroll tax calendar of the day:  Monthly deposits for December are due January 15th.  Quarterly returns 941, NYS-45, and annual return 940 are due January 31st.   Employee copies of W-2’s must be distributed by January 31st.

The Whitworth Ferguson Planetarium at Buffalo State will be closing after December 30th while the new Science Building is being constructed.  The good news is that after the new building’s completion, there will be a state of the art planetarium; the bad news is that it will take at least three years.   During this long building break the planetarium staff will be presenting programs at other venues, but they won’t have the planetarium’s dome to view the stars or present laser shows.

December 30th will be the last show for 3 years,

In addition to the laser shows, the Planetarium is now presenting “Star of Wonder” explaining the astronomical events taking place at the time of the Star of Bethlehem.
