Payroll tax calendar of the day:  Almost deadline for payroll tax returns 941, 940, and NYS-45.  Returns must be filed by January 31st.  Employee copies of W-2’s and vendor copies of 1099’s must be distributed by January 31st.

Forms for the NY Wage Theft Prevention Act must be signed by employees by February 1st.   Forms can be downloaded here:

Getting poinsettia’s to bloom the next year is a difficult thing to do but it can be done.  Thanx to the sunny summer and the mild fall (which enabled me to keep plants on the porch until November), my poinsettia from last Christmas got the right light cycle to bloom again this year!

They can bloom again.
