On Saturday, Feb. 23rd, Evangola State Park will present a program on the ice volcanoes of Lake Erie.  Volcanoes can erupt through the frozen surface of the lake, creating many fascinating shapes.  Find out if the  lake has been frozen enough to form any this year.

I attended this program last year and even though the lake hadn’t frozen we still saw pictures of previous years volcanoes, learned how they were formed, and took a walk along the lake.  Call the information number to find out if the volcanoes have formed and what the program will include if they haven’t. There will be an interesting presentation either way.
