Last week, Louis Turco, founder of Louie’s Foot-Long Hot Dogs, passed away. He was instrumental in bringing the foot long hot dog to Buffalo, and a very nice man.  At a time when my family and I were experiencing a very difficult situation, Louie sent us a Christmas card with a note of encouragement.  It may seem like a small gesture, but the fact that he was thinking of us and took the time to write meant a great deal.

We will miss you, Louie.
