Payroll tax calendar of the day:  Monthly deposits for May taxes are due June 17th.  Quarterly sales tax returns are due June 20th.

The Lilac Festival may by over, but Highland Park, where the festival is located, is open all year.   The park is 150 acres and has numerous flowers and trees besides the lilacs, including azaleas, 700 varieties of rhododendron, a rock garden with dwarf evergreens, and the pansy bed which contains 10,000 plants.

While you’re there be sure to visit the Lamberton Conservatory which is located in Highland Park grounds.

The conservatory not only contains many flowers and cacti, but is home to turtles, tortoises, and quail.
